2011, year of huge disappointments and a dash of happy moments.

With the year coming to an end, it is only natural to start reflecting on all the events that took place since the very first day of January 2011. Normally, December is a gloomy time for me. It is when the realization that nothing has changed hits the hardest. I don't get depressed really - just feel sad that nothing of 365 days ago my life was exactly the same. I don't have any deadlines or specific life goals, but I always wish that the year prior were memorable. This December, however, I have not been feeling the usual pensiveness induced by the coming New Year. I think this is because 2011 was not just another year.

2011. The year I became a second year university student, the year I lost almost all desire to continue my studies. 2011 is also the year I came know that my future career could be at least as important to me as my personal life. 2011 was the year I actually failed to live up my standards in terms of grades at school and most of all I've disappointed my parents. It was the second half of the year I started neglecting my studies -- I couldn't care much. And yeh, the result of it is me failing in my second semester of my second year of university. But, since that day I've been trying to change and I believe I will not repeat my same mistakes. Well I can't just say it or type it out, but I will definitely take recovery steps in turning myself back to the old days. December 2011 is the year where I got to know this girl, and well just like all the guys and girls do sometime time in their life, is fallin' in love.

Well, with all this coming right at the very last few days of December, my summer classes which commences this Wednesday as well as my nearing vacation trip to the Scandinavia, 2011 was a very different year which has affected every aspects of my life. Though 2011 was a year with both failures and happy times and definitely not a perfect one (in terms of university results) it was good enough to eliminate that feeling of mind numbing monotony that I usually have this time of the year...

Everybody has a few close buddies where they could be sarcastic towards each other and not have second thoughts. Usually these are lifelong friends who understand you and are extremely close to where there is never a question of intention. I thought about that the other day and I started to reflect about the other end of sarcasm that we use them in our daily lives and what that seemed like. So why do we do it? Why does sarcasm dominate so much of the culture that we subsist in? I personally think that sarcasm is a defense system we use to shield ourselves or ward off something. Sarcasm is control of the situation that you find yourself in which has no benefits. When people are uncomfortable, self conscious and etc, sarcasm is used to deal with these things or in other words to cope. Therefore in the end sarcasm is an act of selfishness and egoism. I guess sarcasm is our defensive offense if that ever make sense. How if every sarcastic comment that people make was replaced with genuine encouragement or silence? What would things turn out to be like? Be sincere to yourself, think and make the correct decision.

It’s a fact that doing and dreaming are two sets of dissimilar processes. All in all, we often bind to the process of dreaming. How many times have we stated a goal or target that we would like to achieve...and...in the end it is just a faint dream fading away resulting from our doubts in our own capabilities. We are a nation of dreamers, a nation of people who acquires the aptitude, but is short in the process of doing. Many a time, I come across the sentence – ‘I make it if I wanted to’ in which made me ponder. Yeah, when we make the same statement internally it surely does give us a huge boost of confidence, however, the question is - Do we carry the same confidence? I do not think we do most of the time. Frankly, I don’t. In clandestine, most of us are afraid of the process of doing and thus engaging more in the process of dreaming. Dreaming may be brilliant if clinging to it are actions of achievement. Conversely, when dreams are imagination which clouds the mind, we commit to being stagnate which can sometimes lead to resentment and disenchantment. So, where does this leave us? It leaves us in the all consuming position of choice. To Dream / To Do. Dreams are fantastic, but can finish a wonderful mind and lessen merits dying to be released. In short, what I meant is when we fall into the trap of dreaming, imagination becomes our reality and reality becomes indebted to us. As soon as reality is our debtor, it owes us something. However, when we commit to the process of doing, we craft reality, it becomes our vehicle to the dreams we wish to obtain.

PS : I feel dreaming is a wonderful experience, so to say that dreaming is not a negative or useless experience. What I am speaking is about different mindset of dreaming.

Even though this might or will look as if it’s like a blanket idea, let me first state I do believe exceptions exist here. People can get angry for valid reasons and etc. However, what I am asking you to think about is...all the other times anger happens and how often it could be what I will mention below. Recently, I’ve been thinking and wondering as to why people respond with annoyance and anger so much in reply to anything seems to be the circumstances. I came to a conclusion in most of the cases where individuals respond in anger; they are maybe just wrong about whatever and thus led to an angry, frustrated, embarrassed and prideful behaviour. I feel anger is a so called ‘conceal’ and truly effortless exit from the true tough path of using the words. At some stage of life, we are so obstinate about defending our honour and have chased the rabbit thus far. It is simply a stubborn problem that we would rather continue to fight the barren fight than to admit and concede what we most likely know as truth on the inside. Next time, whenever you find yourself responding with anger first, quickly THINK, am I just angry because I'm wrong.

To Love, From Love

It’s devine to desire for love, expect love and most importantly have it. However, questioning ourselves; what should we do when we get love is common. We should just relax! It’s not that we expect the love to be one sided and not do our very part in a relationship. Love is unconditional, but it doesn’t mean one gives unconditionally and the other gets entirely. Affection is a state where a person truly concerns about you for YOU. You should do all you could be honest to yourself of course to reciprocate. I mean c’mon...every individual wants and desires for love and amity and the whole nine yards, nevertheless you MUST give the same. Do not just receive and feel threatened at times where people get tired of just giving while you compensate love with empty words and unfulfilled commitments. Be loved and love without circumstances but with responsibility.

Love is not just a word you use to threaten people into silencing them about your bad behaviours or broken promises. Love is what should encourage you to do your part as well. Love is simply unconditional when you do not put a condition that it is unconditional. In short, each of us should do our part for love!

In my personal opinion, the real idea to be real is through acquiring and persevering roots and really hit us in our deep hearts’ core in order to make essential changes in the way we think. Not only that, we shall match our attitude and precedence upon the reflection of impermanence. Understanding the evanescent intellectually only would not help us to cover every blades of grass on the field. On the other hand, realizing evanescent and how it pervades all present phenomenons are fairly important. Further improvements will be slow or nil if these apprehensions are left out. There would be countless changes if the awareness of impermanence is not intellectual but arising from our heart. It would then construct clear signs and indications that eventually bad behaviour becomes good with ease. Containing our egos would be pleasurable. We would not spend our time acquiring wealth through the ‘fast’ way or reputation through 'counting' the good deeds you’ve done. Over obsession in obtaining quick fame and wealth would definitely tie us down for years and yet get us nowhere. Yes! Some of the people do get rich or famous ‘overnight’ however those who get rich through evil ways should be ticked off the book. Take a look at all the people who have it (Ka-ching $$$), yet it ends... at the very last breathe they take. No matter how powerful, wealthy, & famous we are, it all does not matter anymore. The truth within the good deeds we’ve done is what we carry within us. However, distracting ourselves now by having ‘fun’ will lead us to greater regrets and short of time to do anything beneficial in the end… Death however, is not the end... it is truly a transition or a passage to the other realm of being. Nonetheless, whether the passage we are led to is pleasant or not is totally dependent on us at present moment!

PS : Procrastinations and not pushing will never escape from the truths of impermanence and death. Never adjourn or simply not think about it. Instead, we should think about it, face it, fear it and from this...DO SOMETHING AND SOAR!

Egoism is something which hold hostage of the life through locking it up in a so-called ‘abstract barred enclosure’. These enclosures are brought together with expectations, which are backed by trepidation or insecurity. These expectations come together to create a concept whereby a ‘label’ assigns a role for these expectation to play in our environment.

Fascinatingly enough, placing ‘other’ in these ‘abstract’ enclosures allow ego to attain sense of distinctiveness. We commonly recognize and generalize incorrect doings with words such as wrong, while the egoism under certain circumstances in us cautiously labels it as ‘right’. It is through this very process of conceptualization that ego attains an ‘identification card’. If it were not for these labels, ego would have no idea as to whether it were approaching or leaving. In view of the fact that our very identity is banking on the constant preservation of these ‘enclosures’, there is a vast amount of time and energy dealt in investing these conceptual thoughts.

Many a time we unknowingly know how to correlate problems by observing and comparing it to the environment in our daily lives. A fan is one of the many examples, taken. When a fan is turned off or spinning at a slow rate, it is clear that there are three individual blades. The faster the fan spins, the more ‘rigid’ the blades appear to be. The three blades are going so fast that, eventually, they seem to have a disk-like appearance. This resemblance can be implied to our thoughts. When the mind is calm and at ease we can ‘see’ thought for what it is. Conversely, things appear to be more and more rigid when we use more and more energy in thinking. The reason is that; energy which is being endowed in thought is thought. Hence, after a certain period of time, the stream of thought becomes ‘flooded’ and it seems as though mind is a steady stream of thought when it is actually not what it is. In short, we call it mental barrier. Once the stream of thoughts ‘solidifies’, we inevitably mistake the map for the territory and...we begin to relate with thought asthough it were reality.

To say that we have misguided thought for reality is to say that what we think about events takes precedence over fundamental experience. Life as it is takes the back seat to our interpretations on life. Unfortunately, these interpretations are perforated with imperfections and flaws. The concepts we use to delineate the diverse aspects of impermanence are little more than an attempt to ascribe undeviating traits to impermanent events.

Ps : There is a slight degree of curiosity as to how life is nothing more than a continuous stream of evolution, but the notions which we attributed to it look as if it is to go along and unchanged for a significant period of time.

Changin' for the Better

Well it may seem ridiculous to say that this coming Monday , 28th of Febuary 2011 is the actual start of year 2011 for me. I've been doing the wrong things or well I should say been bumming / playing a fool / and much more other crazy and stupid things that I've done in the previous year. Now I understand the importance of studying , so as the importance of time management. Failing a unit is the very last thing I would like to see on my score sheet and is the very first thing that I would like to avoid. And yes, I failed 2 units last year; 1 in first sem and another in the second. That horrible result really 'woke' me up not physically but mentally. I finally understand my mum's advise as to quiting DotA is for my own good. It's weird that I always think that I'm still at the age of 16 or so. Man, never knew that it was too old for me to play all those online games already. I'm already 20 this year and another 2 more fuckin' years I'll be working. Yeah working. If I don't start thinking and behaving like an adult, who's gonna wipe MA ass in the years to come? Working life is a total different thing, I've tried working for other people and HELL, it ain't easy.

So to accomadate my recent understanding to the outside world, I've learnt that life is not just a game. Its THE GAME! Everyone strive to becoming the best, and the weaker ones will eventually fall. Nobody would like to be on the losing side for sure! Losing a game for a game is nothing as there is always the Restart button that's waiting for us to hit at the very end of the game that we have lost. However, when we are talking about life game, there's not alot of chance that one could use the Reset button.

Reality is cruel, and I know if I screw up another unit in Uni I'll be totally fucked. Meaning that I'll be wasting another one more year to retake my units and having me to watch my friends graduating while im still in Uni is certainly not a fun thing.

In life one has to sacrifice a part of their usual habits in order to obtain a better outcome.
Therefore, I've decided to take immediate action by deleting my Warcraft III, Counter Strike and also put a stop to nightlife, such as clubbing and drinking sessions. It's easy for people to say that it's okay to play at times but most importantly one must divide time properly. I know I'm not a person whos good at dividing time, therefore putting a stop to all the above activities is a better way. Both 2011 and 2012 will be the time for me to strike back and put myself back on track. Nothing lesser than 2 Distinctions and 2 High Distinctions!

I know life's short and we gotta enjoy our life to the fullest, but at times enjoying life to the fullest causes us to over attach in doing things which eventually makes us do what we seldom do. That is what happened to me last year, over doing things...

Fortunately, I know who am I and what my goals are now. I've finally rediscovered myself through this failure. Failure is not the end of the world, but it's an alarming indication that a change for the better is needed!

PS: When you are honest, life will never fail you. :)

We become skilled at doing less of what is irrelevant and engage in less self-defeating behaviour, so we craft a productive life that we truly feel good about.

The 'Lake of Mind' is a useful metaphor when we discuss about deeper levels of conscioucness . It is a deep lake, but we recognize the surface only. We know how to swim with ease on the surface where contemporary life is fairly good at teaching us various kinds of ingenious strokes for this. It even supplies us the upward trust or commonly known as flotation, which keeps us pleasurably on the surface of life.

Thus far we grow to be conscious of how much distress is involved in the effort merely to stay afloat. For some reason, amity of mind simply does not seem attainable; the mind keeps stirring up a never-ending succession of waves.

Life on the glistening surface of realization, we may someday be forced to admit that not everything goes as planned. We come to the uncomfortable consciousness that there is simply no assurance of security anywhere so long as we are living on the surface of life. At a particular point, any ‘thin-skinned’ person is ready to dive deep into consciousness in contemplation. He or she wishes to discover whether there is something which is more reliable, lies below. Often, it is the spiritual mentor who provides us the courage to dive. We ask ourselves, “If he/she has done it, why can’t I?

PS: It is true that turbulences occur on the surface of the ocean, and deep down below it is much more peaceful and serene. Cheers :)

We become more aware of people advising us to ground ourselves, but we may not possibly be sure what it means and how we may do it. Grounding ourselves is a way of getting ourselves literally back to earth. Some of us are a little more prone than others to essentially leaving our bodies and not being strongly rooted in our bodies. There is nothing terribly wrong with this, but while we are living on the earth’s plane, it is best to stay grounded in the body.

Bringing our concentration to our breath as it comes and exits our bodies has got to be one of the simplest ways to ground ourselves. Subsequent to several breaths, we will most likely find that we feel much more attached to our physical selves. We may then transmit our mindfulness to the sensations in our bodies, moving from our head down to our feet, discovering and questioning. A mere one to two minutes of this can bring us home to bodies and to the earth, and this is what it means to ground ourselves.

We can go further by visualizing that we have roots budding out from the bottom of our feet, linking us to the world. The roots flow alongside with us, so we can constantly move along, but at the same time they keep us beached. We obtain great energy from the earth just as we do from the forms of energy we correlate with the sky, and our body brings these two energies together in a sacred amalgamation. While we are grounded, we basically become a mighty container wherein our state of mind can dwell fruitfully and safely. That is the reason why grounding ourselves every day, especially at the beginning of the day, is such a beautiful practice. Fortunately, it is as simple as bringing our conscious awareness to our bodies and the earth on which we walk.

This brings about trusting that we have the strength and good-heartedness to live in this precious world, despite its terrain mines, with dignity and kindness. Amid this kind of self-esteem, connecting with others comes effortlessly, because what is there to fear when we have stayed with ourselves through thick and thin? Others can aggravate anything in us and we do not need to defend ourselves by striking out or shutting down.

Unselfish act which is helping others without expecting any return is the result of us having helped ourselves. We feel affectionate towards ourselves and therefore we feel loving towards others. At the end of the day, all those we used to feel separate from, become more and more melt into our heart.

So its a fine day,when i finally reached Australia..a very light drizzle awaits me when i stepped out of the airport..

checked in to my apartment, Arrow on Swanston amidst along the Swanston Street..so then , my sis brought me along and showed me bits and parts of Melbourne city..we went from train rides to the slow yet amusing tram.

went down to berwick ( berick as they called it with a silent W ) went around there , played pool in my sister's on campus house..seeing cows eating grasses,farmers and bla bla ba is just perfect for me..slow paced life suits me alot..

took train back to Melbourne Central..walked down the street and finally came to Victoria Market.its a fun place as it is extremely clean and butchers,vege sellers gave the kind of feeling as u were in ur own house.bought bacons, monster-like egg plant , gigantic mangoes and so on and so fourth..

then,we went to the sweets deparment..and i came to a shop called Queen Vic Sweets.. saw an extremely beautiful girl ( a vietnamese chinese girl but borned in aus ) .. and well as many guys have love on first sight..i certainly had a crush on that girl.. STORY CONTINUES WHEN I GO TO THE MARKET AGAIN TODAY!

I hated every feeling and emotion went through me when i saw the freaking message said 'Tahniah' Darren Teo telah terpilih untuk menyertai PeeLKN siri 6/2009..it was like FUCK! why tahniah.instead of TAKZIAH? you think i really very happy to join meh? oh plsss.. everyone in the accounts tuition laughed at me.. the voices of laughter broke away from Wei Sheng followed by some other Aliens and soon to the person sitting at the corner and most end of the class,Dzariff.. 2Minutes later,another person's vibrated at its most crucial like kinda situation,anddd...the lucky person was definitely,Wei Sheng. he openned the message and i saw the first word..I already started laughing my guts out .. Its like a curse for students who sat on the place where their backs were facing the wall.. No much longer later, came a loud shriek from Dzariff's phone, i thought he was the lucky one , but my instincts were 101% wrong.. 3 of us got it! and very very fortunate girls was extremely lucky not to get the so called Tahniah~~ message.. was so bangga at that time..
I think this NSS is gonna bring me a 360degree swift of changes. maybe a bolder guy? ( i mean botak) . unfortunately, i hate changes..

I am so provoked by this freaking PeeLKN thingy..i couldnt bare it any longer..this programme is just a time killer...

but anyhow , i wont be able to go for this creepy thing bcos i had to go overseas.. ITS FINALLY SUM ED up that i wont be going for the 3months worth of rubbish experience programme.. CHAO!

accounts never seemed to be in such petrifying manner until i've finally stepped into the wednesday accounts class..

the students there looked so composed.. so, i took a sit and i sat like a bulky piece of scrap metal..students after students rushed into the class,and to my surprise the whole class was filled with girls.. i was the only boy there!! the awkward feeling started to arose in me.. i've always wanted these days to happen. it did happened!

mrs ow continued with the last chapter of form 5 accounts.. horray! we are close to finishing line i whispered to myself.. but there's always a saying, '' its so close yet so far"..it all started when teacher gave us some exercise for us to work on.. i started off slowly , maybe because i've not been revising accounts in my life neither i did an exercise on my own.. on the other hand, the girls were boasting with confidence..

5 freaking minutes later , they were done with it!!! OMGGGG.. they were like machinesssss! i thought Tania was a master in accounts,herself.. but after witnessing today, the speed that Tania used to complete her accounts were doubled by those girls from SMK USJ 12.. then, they took out their additional mathematics workbook and started doing them.. i was like @.@ .. are they humans? nah, i don't think they are... ROBOTS rather..

..as for me, i am still in the process of finishing the account's questions.. the girls were like staring at me ? looking at my stupidness i could say.. Finally, i managed to complete them.. but that is like 10-15 minutes after the girls??

the atmosphere in the class was humiliating! i feel so useless at a point..in my heart i was praying that the class would come to an end in a glimpse.. the clock finally displayed the time of 7p.m. it was a blessing in the sky, as i rushed out the class and straight into my car!

in conclusion : i will never ever postpone my Tuesday accounts class to Wednesday afternoon class.. IT WAS A TORTURE ! at first those girls in the class looked so pretty and charming, and for second thoughts, i supposed they will promise me HEAVEN..but in the end they GAVE ME HELLL!!!!!

he gave us an essay entitled "Study Locally or Study Abroad''..

he told us to study abroad so that we can repay the poor guy who teaches us English for a small sum of monthly pay.. although he can reclaim his fuel usage price from the government ,he said that he had to fill 10 papers just for the reclamation of rm 45!!
he then asked the people who are in charged; so he acted out the scene when it happened in the Government Department..

time for recess - after having Physics class, I ran down for recess with Lillian to grab the sumptuous 'Fish Chips'.. i was panting away as if i was back from a 50km race.. i thought i was the only one who was panting away.. then i saw Lillian panting away too..i smiled grimly.. lack of exercise?maybe?? so we reached the canteen with high hopes that we could purchase them, and as Lillian and I stared at the student's hand taking off the last piece of fish chips , we both had nothing to say.. nothing but just a huge miserable sigh..tomorrow is my undang test..and my target is to get full marks for it.. getting full marks is not by saying it only.. instead, i must take action by studying the undang book and finish off the 500 questions.. so off I go! toodles ^.^

I FINALLY MANAGE TO CONTACT DAVID ADJEY ( nectar's executive chef )..I added him up in facebook..and i manage to sent him my regards and asked him for a little advice on how to become a great chef..well i am really excited,getting all tensed up and ready for the challenges lies beyond me, in the journey to become an inspired chef like ( David Adjey, my chef idol )

so little time but some much things to be done and yet to be prepared..

as for me, i can't wait to meet with my idol! ahha..i hope he will realise my dreams and taking a step forward to train me..although this sounds a little fairytale like,but i hope and pray these days will come true!

tomorrow,school as usual..BUT, I am gonna have a movie with girls..

ahh hAA! i knew it.. i was missing something but i couldn't think of it.. i was feeling the absence of something,somewhere and whatsoever.. IT's MY bloG!! i finally thoughT of it.. haven been seeing this for quite sometime..

my mind were set to an idle mode which allows me not to think any further.. or in other words crack my goD daMn brain! i couldn't write those long post which it was at my finger tips, compared to last time ( ages ago =.=" )..

anyhow, tomorrow is my school's IU day, i am anxious and looking forward to seeing my old buddies in other school..don't know how have they been so far.. in second thoughts,i am not going to the IU because of my LAZINESS! sorry guys, i let u all down.. =(
but i cant help it..my laziness has extended its contract over me,making me a much more lazier than ever after..

one morning in tokyo, i was just doing what do human usually do..had a cup of hot english tea. and getting all ready to have a morning walk at the park..

so i went out around 7am? did not brush my teeth though.. with only a t-shirt n jeans , i bravely walked out the hotel, indirectly, putting me in a condition where i am left freezing in the cold & had to face the chilling winter all by myself and also without my winter's lover- the wool jacket..

anyhow,i neither give 5-fucks about it..cos i had only few hours to spent there, i quickly rushed my way to the subway,took a quick train to the south part of tokyo..

the japanese women in the train were really friendly and nice.only the GIRLS.. i mean..some of them even offered me to pay a visit to their houses.. it sounded fun,but, nah.. cos i am afraid that i will get conned or something like that..

so finally,the train stopped at the destination,i ran my hearts off from the train station ( seeing ppl queued to walk out off the train were like buruh paksas, made me lose all my patience, got frustrated so i rushed out like a raging bull )..i headed to the *okinawa park*. upon arrival, *wow* i said to myself!the first glimpse of that place were spectacular..the feeling i had for the place gets even better after seeing an array of *pweety* girls.. wellah!! it's like heaven ^^

another thing that i spotted is that their "longkao(drain)" had fishes swimming in it.. IF it was in MALAYSIA,the fishes would have died even before putting them into the drains..thier longkao water like drinking water,ours pulak like milo peng =.=" ..so all i had to say is ...... DIU NIA SENG! wth is wrong with Malaysian's cleanliness?

dik dok..dik dok..time passes really fast..so its around 10am i went back to my hotel..AND the funny part of the whole story happens HERE!!

at the soho,i saw some gang with black coats,smart looking rather, were demanding for something..which i dont really know what they were asking for..then a stranger walked by,so i stopped him.

who are those ppl in black coats..what are they doing,i asked kindly..

japanese guy: they are japanese yakuzas..(gangsters) , (gestures) *piang piang* (gun shots) ,they are japanese's version of Chow Yuen Fat..

The earthquake brought Sichuan province into a devastating mess of disaster..The stench from the cropse,has filled the air with sadness,sorrow,and despair..Nevertheless,this catastrophic event that took place in Sichuan province, definately taught humans,that life is certainly a brief candle..One may stay as fit as a fiddle and happy-go lucky always,and suddenly time might hand us grief..Humans certainly cannot predict their destiny,however time and tide,will mould a person's character..Humans can plan,but God is the one and only one whos allowing it to happen or take place..All I wanna say is that,we as humans should appreciate our life,love our life,and live our life to the fullest never be in a state of discontentment..As this 5.12 Sichuan earthquake would be a very significant event that could happen only once in a lifetime and also a lesson to be learnt for other fortunate individuals who did not endure the pain and struggle of the earthquake victims..
I hope people from different countries,would just spend 1 minute of silence,to pray for the safety of the victims,and may the deceased ones be held in God's arm...God bless!

Thirty-three people were extracted from the debris Friday, four days after the seism in Sichuan (south-western), the rescuers continuing their research with the hope of new miracles, announced the agency China Nouvelle.
In the only district of Beichuan, touched hard by the seism, 33 people were released alive in the course of the day, among them a child found under the ruins of its college in the town of Beichuan (even name that the district), according to the agency.
The civil soldiers and volunteers who excavated the tons of concrete and scrap thought of being able to save other survivors, voices calling the Help! being still perceptible under the debris of the school.

And a 23 year old nurse was left alive the debris of a hospital, according to the same source.

The seism magnitude 7,9 struck Monday at the beginning of afternoon, at one hour when all the offices and schools were crammed.
The government started to prepare the population by giving for the first time Thursday an estimate of more than 50.000 dead.

I like Lou Dobbs; not his opinions so much as his style. The guy yells at the government all the time, he's terribly opinionated (in the name of discussion, I hope) and he wants a straight answer on the issues, like why are Americans dying in Iraq, supporting government troops who are fighting militias that are funded by Iran...does this sound like Vietnam to anyone else? I channel surf a lot, so I only caught a snippet of dialogue from the show but what stuck in my mind was this: Lou or someone else was bitching about the trade surplus with China, among other countries...I think a congressman was talking about how unfair it was that the Chinese wouldn't spend their money on our economy.

Look, you are absolutely right on that and I have no idea what I'm talking about here, I'm just free associating for the fun of it. To get developing economies to spend money on North America, they need to have some kind of cultural motivation, and we don't necessarily have to be equals with the rest of the world, but we can at least attempt to extend the cultural franchise, which is to say, we can take the rest of the world seriously, and the gravity of the decay in our own systems. The basic extension of the franchise would entail the sucessful exportation of capitalism married to liberal democracy. The Chinese government is capitalist, but not democratic; a lot of Chinese don't know the political realities in the country like those in the West, and vice versa I'm sure. If and when this happens is open to question and is perhaps a little besides the point here.

What I would suggest is this; social governance has to evolve. To me, that is input and discussion from all sectors of the society. Practically speaking, this means ending the war on drugs and the war on terror and allowing labor to be like capital and move freely across borders. Most of the problems in the world have some kind of global origin and a local solution, or vice versa, or some combination of the two. This is an incredibly complicated line of inquiry and I'm really only mulling it over because it's most of what I'm trying to write about; I'm trying to arrive at some kind of reasonably servicable distortion of the current time in the interests of entertainment and satire.

I'm going to suggest that it's a question of attitude. North America was built on risk and by theives in the form of robber barons. They ended up as philanthropists but not before social democracy also took root. We have gone over the edge of moral hazard in terms of the penalties associated with risk; it became too risky to be risky and in turn, people took even larger gambles with things that should never be on the table, like liberty. So, I think that if we are going to get ourselves out of the mess, we have to innovate our culture. We are saturated with consumer goods but the market for cultural goods is just beginning to be explored; most consumer goods come with some kind of lifestyle tag anyway, but we are just beginning to tap the potential of people and their hunger for, well, cultural goods like entertainment and catharsis. If foreign consumers aren't spending money on us, it's because we aren't marketing ourselves properly.

I have no idea how to do this; it's not the simple force feeding of rock and roll and democracy of the past; democracy has to re-prove itself by cleaning itself up and stop waging unjust wars and the last time I checked, rock and roll was more or less defunct. The good thing about file-sharing is that it will likely force musicians to find alternate routes to make a living other than selling massive amounts of albums. Further to this is the line between appropriation and genuine interchange (witness Gwen Stefani and her Harajuku girls who were far cuter than the real thing) and all the issues of racism. I don't really see how any of this can happen without expanding one's frame of reference. There is always connections to be had and money to be made, and I think cross-cultural interchange is the way of the future. That is why I'm writing the novel I'm writing to explore what would happen if the cultures of the world were foricbly combined by a gradual series of environemntal and political changes...

I think that anyone in the culture can occupy the necessary space to effect some of these changes. Drugs are defacto legal, there is probably an immigrant amnesty coming in the US and hopefully somewhere in the mess of the middle East, a moderate Arab opinion could be cultivated...it's the culture that's going to save us, and if I was a celebrity I would endeavour to take as many risks as possible...someone like Lindsay Lohan who really doesn't have anything to lose, or maybe just an unknown actor or actress...rock the fucking boat, take a risk, turn some heads because, for what it's worth, there could be a cultural gold-rush in the making. Or maybe not, but isn't everyone just a trifle bit, bored?

After a long time choosing and browsing for a new pair of spectacle in the optic shop,I've finnaly came out with this simple yet magnificient spectacle by Ted Baker..the design of this spectacle is just too simple and plain,which suits me alot..I love plain and simple stuffs..

Although having this Teller 001 by Ted Baker as my aset,it was rather a liability because every part of this spectacle is worth every single penny I paid for....and my responsiblity is to take good care of it,which I don't..

For the past 3 years,I've purchased quite a number of spectacles..however,none of them made it through even for a year..worst of all,one of the spectacle i bought, barely live even for a day!

Nevertheless,I am proud to be the owner of this spectacle and would try my very best to keep good care of it! *laughs*

The morning of September 11,2001, was at first only unusual because of the exceptional brilliance of late summer. The clear weather held for days, as this nation and the world looked on uncomprehendingly at the unfolding devastation of terrorist attacks on two towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Virginia, and the crash of a hijacked jet in south western Pennsylvania. The coordination of the attacks and the ensuing destruction and loss of life as well as the method of the attacks were unfathomable that day, and so they remain.

The first news reports simply stated that an airplane had hit one of the World Trade Towers, and building had a gaping, burning hole in it. It was 8.50a.m, on Tuesday morning. Soon it became clear that it was a fairly large jet had crashed into 1 World Trade Center, also called the south tower, and all tv stations then had their cameras trained on the towers. The panic in the building coupled with confusion outside and in the second building where some heard an announcement not to evacuate, soon became a general panic at 9.03a.m. As a second plane flew over the city into the second tower, there was an exploding of glass and fire out the other side. The clear image of the plane hitting the north tower of the World Trade Center, caught from various angles on camera, is imprinted on all of our minds.

The horror of the situation was very clear to those New York who were trying to escape or trying to help. Firefighters and police swarmed to the scene. Those in the twin towers and surrounding buildings had to decide what to do, and how to do it. People on streets watched small objects plummet from the building, which slowly realized to be bodies, either jumping or falling, some on fire. In the days following September 11, harrowing death emerged about what precisely was going on at that time - cellular' phone conversations to loved ones, scrambles down smoke-filled hallways and flights of stairs, snap decisions that saved or lost lives.

At around 9.45am, a third aircraft that had been on a course toward the White House turned and smashed into the Pentagon, the home of the National Military Command Center and symbol of American military might. News of this was just getting out when, at 9.58am, the most devastating aspect of the attacks unfolded. The north tower, the second one hit, began to collapse, as the floors exploded in glass and smoke, and fell one by one until the entire building collapsed in on itself as a torrent of debris and smoke billowed up and out from the site. Ash and dust coated people who were able to run ahead of the falling building and obscured lower Manhattan. It was an unbelievable sight of destruction that, even more than the sight of the second airplane, brought the reality and magnitude of this attack home. In less than two hours after the first plane strucked, both 110-storey buildings were gone.

As the dust cloud from the collapse of the first tower billowed out from New York, and the slow clearing revealed that the entire tower was gone, news of a fourth airplane crashing in Pennsylvania at 10.10am came across the airwaves and added to the panic thought that this was just the beginning. The collapse of the entire second tower in New York at 10.28am marked the end of the immediate effect of the attacks, but more than three months later Americans has still to lose the feeling of imminent danger and to recover a sense of security. This marks the loss of a usual way of life in America as so many commented on in the days following September 11.....

heaven or hell?

The fact that human beings are created with an eternal destiny should have a significant impact on our priorities. It often seems that governments, nations, and other institutions are the enduring feature of human history, and people are transient elements. All religion including Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Jewish says that this is radically wrong. One cannot treat people as disposable adjuncts to the nation or other institution: ultimately it is the people who matter. But how far can human think of when they come across the word Heaven? Most of them, Heaven may refer to the physical heavens, the sky or the seemingly endless expanse of the universe beyond.. Nevertheless, one must have a good virtues and follow God's teachings in order to attain a place in Heaven..

heaven on top of the world?

People claim that Heaven is located on top the world.. How true can that be? Nobody can claim that Heaven is on top of the world..(except God). Who meets God? As human in form, nobody can see God, but the only way we can contact God is through our feelings.. Hence, people's thoughts of the Divine Heaven is wrong.. HEAVEN could be located at the underworld. Therefore,the word 'Heaven' is still a question to all of us.. The only thing we can do is to play our part and believe in God.. Attaining a place in Heaven is not the main goal in our lives..
